Jo Ann Toval, with a Master’s in Nursing, built her career as a nurse informaticist, blending clinical wisdom with technology to improve patient care and empower healthcare teams. Their work lives were rooted in compassion, problem solving, and community — values that still shape everything they do. When they retired, they didn’t slow down. They simply shifted into a new rhythm. In August 2024, Brian and Jo Ann began performing together as a married musical duo. What had always been a private joy — harmonizing in the kitchen, dancing through the house, sharing the soundtrack of their lives — blossomed into a public expression of love, culture, and connection. Their chemistry, already deep from years of partnership, translated effortlessly into their performances. “That’s How We Roll” captures the essence of that journey.
