Brian Toval and The Vision featuring Jo Ann Toval is more than just a musical project—it’s a love story told in melody, harmony, and rhythm. This dynamic duo blends decades of devotion to each other with a lifetime of musical and professional excellence, creating a sound that is as heartfelt as it is innovative.
Brian and Jo Ann Toval first met as college students and quickly discovered not only a shared love of music, but also a deep and lasting affection for each other. They were married in July 1981 and have been inseparable ever since—both in life and, now, on stage. Though they only began performing publicly as Brian Toval and The Vision featuring Jo Ann Toval in August 2024, their shared musical journey has spanned decades.
Before stepping into the spotlight together, Brian and Jo Ann often moved hearts with their soulful duets at church services, family reunions, weddings, and funerals. Their chemistry—both musical and personal—is undeniable. “We’re still crazy about each other,” Brian says, and it shows in every performance.
Brian is an accomplished keyboardist and composer rooted in the rich cultural soil of New Orleans. His musical style fuses jazz, funk, soul, and gospel into a compelling and uplifting experience. Brian paid for his college education by playing with New Orleans cover bands.
Jo Ann Toval, whose expressive voice is now a signature element of The Vision, holds a master’s degree in nursing. Her compassion and depth as a caregiver flow naturally into her performances, adding layers of authenticity and emotional resonance.
Brian, a graduate in Medical Technology, has also had a distinguished career in healthcare and information technology, bridging science and art in a uniquely holistic way.
Together, Brian and Jo Ann are The Vision—a heartfelt musical expression of a lifelong partnership built on love, faith, family, and creativity.
